Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 29, 2026
Professional Baby (professionalbaby.com) is operated by Protify Consulting LLC, an Illinois limited liability company (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the site handles and why. The short version: we don't store the profiles you make unless you share one, add a photo or ask for a creator link. Sharing saves a short link to the profile. If you ask us to email you a creator link, we use your email address for that one message and don't store it. If you buy a download, Stripe handles the payment: we keep a record of what you bought, but not your name, email address or card details. A photo is kept for 90 days (you can delete it sooner or keep it longer). We don't use cookies or tracking tools, and the visit counts we keep are anonymous.
Who the site is for
Professional Baby is for adults (18 and older). It's made for parents and others creating a playful profile for a baby they know. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
What you enter, and what happens to it
To make a profile you enter:
- a baby's first name (no last names; up to 12 letters),
- the baby's birthday. Your browser works out the baby's age in weeks and sends us that age and the birthday's month and day; profile links carry those, never the year. We use the month and day to show famous people born on the same day (“Mutual Connections”). Together, the age in weeks and the month and day let someone work out the full birthday. If you ask for a creator link, your browser also sends us the birth year, for the birthday keepsake. We don't log birthdays or keep them, except in a short link and a creator link (see below),
- your occupation, chosen from our list,
- optionally, up to three personality traits and one milestone,
- optionally, your email address, only if you ask us to email you a creator link (see below).
Your browser sends these to our server, which uses them to put your profile together and sends it back. We don't save profiles or the details you enter in our database, unless you share a profile, add a photo or ask for a creator link (see below). Each profile is fully described by its link (web address), and the same link always shows the same profile.
Links are shareable by design. A profile link contains the baby's first name, their age in weeks, the month and day of their birthday and the other details above; from these, anyone with the link can work out the baby's full birthday. Anyone you share it with, and anyone they pass it on to, can open it and see that information. We ask search engines not to index profile links. Think about who you share them with.
If you share a profile. When you press Share, we save a short link (for example professionalbaby.com/p/abc2def3gh) that stands for the profile: the baby's first name, age in weeks, birthday month and day and the other details above, the profile's version and any lines you swapped. Sharing the same profile again reuses the same link. A short link also records that the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy were accepted on the device that made it: which versions, and when. Short links are kept so shared links keep working; email us to have one removed.
If you ask for a creator link. A creator link lets you keep changing a profile from any device. We save a short link for the profile, as above, that you can update: when you make another version, edit the details, swap lines or change the photo, everyone who has the short link sees your latest version. Your creator link contains a private key. We keep only a scrambled (hashed) form of it, so we can check the key but can't recover it. Anyone who has your creator link can change the profile and its photo, so keep it private. We also store the baby's birth year with it (not in the link), so the birthday keepsake knows the full birthday.
If you ask us to email it to you. We send your email address and the creator link to Amazon Web Services' email service (Amazon SES), which delivers that one message. We don't store your email address, keep a copy of the message, add you to any list, or email you again unless you ask. To stop a link from being emailed too often, we count how many times each link was emailed that day, without the address.
Link previews. When a profile link is posted somewhere that shows previews (for example Facebook, LinkedIn, X, WhatsApp, iMessage or Slack), that service fetches a preview from us: the baby's first name, future job, age and headline, and a picture we draw from them. Previews never include the baby's photo. We don't store preview pictures (Cloudflare keeps a temporary copy for up to a week so they load quickly). The service showing the preview may keep its own copy under its own privacy policy.
Share buttons. The Facebook, LinkedIn, X, WhatsApp and Email buttons are plain links to each service's own sharing page; we don't load those services' buttons, scripts or cookies on our pages. If you use one, you leave our site, and that service's privacy policy applies.
If you add a photo. You can add a photo of the baby. Your browser crops and shrinks it to a small square and re-saves it, which removes hidden details such as the camera model and location, before anything is sent. We then store:
- the cropped photo, on Cloudflare's storage service;
- a short link (for example professionalbaby.com/p/abc2def3gh) that stands for the profile: the baby's first name, age in weeks, birthday month and day and the other details above, the profile's version, any lines you swapped, and which photo it shows.
Anyone who has that link, or anyone they pass it on to, can see the profile and the photo. Photos are never listed, searchable or shown in link previews, and we ask search engines not to index them. We look at a photo only if someone reports it, or if the law requires us to.
How long we keep them. A photo is deleted automatically 90 days after it was added, unless you choose to keep it for another 90 days. You can delete it at any time. After a photo is deleted, its links keep working and show the baby's initial instead. Short links themselves (the profile details, without the photo) are kept so shared links keep working; email us to have one removed.
Deleting your photo. There are no accounts. Your browser remembers which photos you added (see below), and you also get a private manage link. Either lets you delete the photo or keep it longer. Anyone who has the manage link can do the same, so keep it private.
Birthday keepsakes
A birthday keepsake lists famous people born on the baby's birthday, what happened on that date in history, and a time capsule of the week the baby was born. To make it, and to let you download it again later, we store:
- the baby's birthday, including the year;
- which profile the keepsake belongs to (its short link);
- when the keepsake was made and when it was last opened.
You don't enter anything extra: the birthday comes from your creator link (the birth year stored with it, or for older creator links, worked out from the age in weeks and the month and day). Unlike a profile link, this is the full date. We keep keepsake records so your keepsake keeps working; we may delete old ones in the future (the keepsake works the birthday out again from the creator link). To have yours deleted sooner, email us the profile's link.
For a birthday keepsake, we look up the baby's first name in the Social Security Administration's public baby-name lists, to show how popular it was. We don't store the name for this.
Purchases
Clean (unwatermarked) downloads cost money. Payments are handled by Stripe, through Stripe's own checkout page. Stripe collects your card details, your email address (to send your receipt) and your billing location (to work out sales tax), under Stripe's privacy policy. We never see or store your card details.
From Stripe we receive confirmation that you paid, what you bought, the amount, tax and currency, Stripe's reference number for the payment, and whether it was refunded. We store that with the profile's short link, so the purchase unlocks that profile. We don't store your name or email address; Stripe's message to us includes your email address, and we don't save or log it.
Stripe keeps its own records of the payment, as financial law requires. If you ask for a refund by email, we use your email address only to handle the refund.
Information collected automatically
- IP address and request details. Like any website, our server receives your IP address and the web address you request (which, for a profile link, includes the details above). We use your IP address briefly to limit how many requests one visitor can make per minute, which protects the site from abuse. We don't keep a log of visitors or their requests.
- Anonymous usage statistics. Our server keeps simple counts of how the site is used: which pages are viewed; which website a visit came from (just the site's name, such as facebook.com); the country a request comes from (from Cloudflare's network, not your precise location); and, for each profile, whether it was newly made or opened from a link, plus the age group, occupation, traits and milestone chosen; when a birthday entered is over our age limit, how many years old (for example "4"), without the date; and which share button was used (for example "Facebook" or "Copy link"), without the profile or its link. We also count previews, purchases and refunds of downloads, without any details about who bought them. These records never include the baby's name, your IP address, details about your device, or anything you type into search or the feedback form, and they can't be linked back to you. We use them to understand what people enjoy and to improve the site. The detailed records are kept for about three months; after that we keep only daily totals (for example, how many profiles were made on a given day), which contain nothing about individual visits.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics. Our pages load a small script from Cloudflare that measures visits and how fast pages load. It sends Cloudflare the address of the page without anything after the “?” (so never the baby's name from a profile link), the page you came from (shortened the same way), and how long the page took to load; Cloudflare adds your browser and device type and your country from the request. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't identify you, and doesn't follow you to other sites. We see only totals. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- No cookies, ads or tracking tools. The site doesn't set cookies and doesn't use advertising or tracking tools. The only script from another company is Cloudflare Web Analytics (above), which doesn't use cookies. Your browser remembers which profiles you made on it (the random code in each profile's link, kept in your browser's local storage), so it shows you the buttons to change or print them; people who open your link don't get those buttons. It also remembers that you agreed to the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, and when, so you don't have to tick the box again until they change. If you add a photo, your browser saves a private key for it on your device (also in local storage), so it can show you the controls to delete the photo or keep it longer. If you get or open a creator link, your browser keeps its private key the same way, so your changes update the link. These stay on your device, are used for nothing else, and clearing your browser's site data removes them. All images and fonts come from our own site.
Service providers
The site runs on Cloudflare, which hosts it, delivers it and protects it from attacks, stores our anonymous usage statistics, and provides Cloudflare Web Analytics. To do that, Cloudflare processes the requests described above (including IP addresses and requested web addresses) and may keep limited operational and security logs under its own privacy policy. We don't sell or share your information with anyone else.
We send the form's messages, and creator links you ask us to email you, through Amazon SES, and receive email with Google Workspace. Each handles the messages it carries under its own privacy policy (Amazon Web Services, Google).
We take payments through Stripe, which also calculates sales tax (Stripe Tax). Stripe handles your payment details under its own privacy policy (Stripe).
Photos and short links are stored with Cloudflare (Cloudflare R2 and D1). Cloudflare may automatically scan images served through its network for known child sexual abuse material and report matches to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, as the law requires.
Feedback and email
If you use our feedback form, we receive your message and, if you give it, your email address. If you opened the form from a profile, we also receive that profile's link (which includes the details you entered for it) and the lines on that profile, so we can see what you saw. The form delivers this to our inbox by email, using Amazon Web Services' email service (Amazon SES); our inbox is hosted by Google Workspace. The site itself doesn't store it.
If you write to contact@professionalbaby.com, we receive your email address and whatever you send.
We use feedback and email only to read it, improve the site, and reply to you, and we keep it only as long as we need it for that.
Your choices and rights
There are no accounts, and we don't keep records about visitors. What we do keep is tied to a profile: short links (for profiles that were shared or have a creator link), photos, birthday keepsake records and purchase records, as described above. You can delete a photo yourself at any time. To have a short link, photo or keepsake record removed, email us the profile's link at contact@professionalbaby.com. We keep purchase records for our tax and accounting records; Stripe keeps its own. Depending on where you live (for example, in the European Union, the United Kingdom or California), you may have rights to ask what information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, or to object to how it's used. To make a request or ask a question, email contact@professionalbaby.com.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS, so what you enter is encrypted on its way to our server. No system is perfectly secure, but storing as little as we can is the strongest protection we can offer.
Changes to this policy
If we add features that collect more information (for example, accounts or saved profiles), we'll update this policy before they launch and change the date above. Material changes will be noted on the site.
